Pollack began working in video in 1973. His credits included "Objects 1973", an exploration of the potential of color abstract video art by computer synthesis, aired and commissioned by WLIW-TV in Garden City, and sponsored by the NYSCA and WNET-TV Lab; "Comet Kohoutek", commissioned by ESP Records; and "Junkie War", a video documentary on the problems of drug addiction among Vietnam veterans, featured at the WBAI Video Festival, New York. Mr. Pollack served as video director for the Department of Health, Education and Welfare's National Conference on Health Care Planning. He was the Director of the Multi-Media Festival in Lynbrook, NY. He was Vice President of Production at Clearlight Synergy, and an electronic animator at A&G Video. Norman Pollack also pioneered the development of electronic painting and electronic set design. His work has been exhibited at The Kitchen, the Experimental TV Center, where he also was Artist in Residence, at the College of Environmental Design at University of California, at the Xerox Design Center, California College of Arts and Crafts and the Oakland Center- 1980.
