Neither was color adaptable. The NV 8100AD is an electronic editor, while the NV 8100 is not. The NV 8100AD had a remote control feature and was adaptable to auto rewind. It also had an auto gain control. Both decks had one audio channel with capability of audio dubbing. Neither did slow motion. Both accepted standard TV cameras, and allowed the operator to duplicate from machine to machine. NV-8100 This was a pre-EIAJ \uFFBD\u0022 VTR introduced about 1968. It ran at 12 IPS giving a 40 minute recording time per 7 inch reel with 2400 feet of tape. It has a push button video head cleaner, visible at the top of the head drum.
