This color and monochrome video tape recording unit features capstan servo electronic editing, with an all-new rotary erase head. So you can take sequences from tape, off-the-air, live camera, etc., and insert them into a pre-recorded tape with perfect synchronization. With the unique ADD feature, you can assemble new scenes onto tape with no loss of sync sequence. The EV-320F's capstan servo synchronizes the unit to the input signal in the playback mode. This allows roll-free switching of the unit's output signal to the output signal of either multiple cameras or additional video tape recorders which are operated by a common sync source. The EV-320F can automatically synchronize to a 60 Hz power source when the external sync is removed, eliminating manual switching. And, you'll never need a separate sync generator for playback. For recording or playing back color, simply add the optional Sony Color Pack CLP-1B and you're ready to receive a clear, stable NTSC color signal. To assure ultimate editing quality, the EV-320F has an RF output level meter that allows you to track most accurately during playback. A defeat/ normal switch enables you to check and switch the incoming sync signal. With two audio channels, you can add sound on one track, independently, without affecting the audio portion of the other track. The EV-320F uses 1-inch tape and conforms to standard EIA TV signal requirements. You get 60 minutes of playing time on a 2460-foot reel of tape. One hundred percent tape interchangeability is guaranteed between all EV Series Videocorders, and the unit's video heads are guaranteed for one full year. Features Capstan-servo electronic editing with a newly developed rotary erase head. The playback signal synchronizes to standard vertical sync signal input. It synchronizes to power line automatically when there is no input signal, thus making operation simple and easy. Audio Channel 2 is actuated in the insert mode, thus the original sound on Channel 1 is not disturbed.
