Video preservation activities at BAVC have included the establishment of the first professionally-equipped, non-profit preservation center and the organization of Playback 1996: Video Roundtable, the first international symposium bringing together the fields of conservation, museology and media arts to address technical and ideological issues surrounding video preservation.
