She has been the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and an American Film Institute Independent Filmmaker award, as well as recognition from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New York State Council on the Arts. She has been artist in residence at the Capp Street Projject (San Francisco), and the Artists Television Lab at WNET/13 (new York). She has taught at NYU, the San Francisco Art Institute, the Cleveland Institute of Art and the School of Video Arts. She has had solo exhibitions at the Carnegie Museum of Art (Pittsburgh), Wadsworth Atheneum (Hartford), Museum of Contemporary Art (Los Angeles), Dallas Museum of Art, and the Madison Art Center. Her work has been exhibited at the American Film Institute\u0027s National Video Festival, the Whitney Museum Biennial, the Stedelijk Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, the Walker Art Center and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Her works include DAWN BURN (1975-76), OHIO TO GIVERNY: MEMORY OF LIGHT (1983), WINTERGARDEN (1984), ASYLUM, A ROMANCE (1986) and NOAH\u0027S RAVEN.
