Andrea Polli

Andrea Polli is a digital media artist whose work addresses issues related to science and technology in contemporary society. Polli's projects often bring together artists and scientists from various disciplines. She has exhibited, performed, and lectured nationally and internationally.

As a member of the Steering Committee for New York 2050, a wide-reaching project envisioning the future of the New York City region, she is currently working with city planners, environmental scientists, historians and other experts to look at the impact of climate on the future of human life both locally and globally. Her Intuitive Ocusonics, a system for performing sound using eye movements, has been shown at venues worldwide including V2 in Rotterdam, Holland; at SIGGRAPH '01 in Los Angeles; at the Subtle Technologies Conference at the University of Toronto, Canada. Ms. Polli has been resident artist at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the University of California at San Diego.

    Nadia Hironaka holds an MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1999) and a BFA from The University of the Arts (1997); her video and film work has been exhibited and screened at venues and festivals including the 14th Philadelphia Film Festival (April 7–20, 2005), Rencontres internationales Paris/Berlin (2004) and Surface Tension at The Fabric Workshop and Museum (2003). She received awards and support including a 2004 Director's Choice at Black Maria, SOS and Leeway Foundation grants, and was Artist in Residence at FABRICA (2001). She has worked as Video Archivist at The Fabric Workshop and Museum (2000–present), taught video workshops and delivered lectures and juries.

    Galen Joseph-Hunter has served as Executive Director of free103point9 since 2002 and worked at Electronic Arts Intermix (EAI) since 1996.   • Luciana Sanz and Amoeba Technology People

    Luciana Sanz is an Argentinian video artist, technologist and writer based in NYC; she earned a BFA with honors in Film/Video Production and Literature from Tisch, NYU and completed a Masters at Polytechnic University, Brooklyn on a full academic scholarship. She won first prize in Poetry from the Buenos Aires Cultural Council for Young Writers (1997), worked at the Experimental TV Center and spent three years as a systems integration designer at the Hayden Planetarium implementing 3-D graphics for multi-projection immersive environments. In 2001 she joined Amoeba Technology and toured internationally as a videographer and multimedia artist.
