    John Manning served as Associate Professor of Art and Technology Studies (1982) at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and holds a BA (1974) from the University of Chicago and an MFA (1981) from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago; his work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art (NY), Galleria F15 (Norway), Bosgarren Kolectiboa (Spain), Pompidou Center (Paris) and Vancouver Art Gallery (Canada). He has received the Tokyo International Video Festival Award of Excellence, an NEA/American Film Institute Regional Fellowship, an Illinois Arts Council Artists Fellowship and a Chicago International Film Festival Special Merit Award.
