Abstract

Chapter 2: Considerations of the Basic Parameters of Sound. The purpose of this chapter is to give the reader a basic understanding of the technical side of the subject matter and to provide a point of departure for those who wish to rearrange the chapter order to suit their particular situation. Paragraphs anterior to the introduction follow: Vibrations and Musical Sound, Musical Structure and Temporal Measurements, Non-Linear Perception, and Subjective and Objective Measurement.Chapter 3: Electronic Sound Sources and Their Characteristics. Logically, the production of a musical event begins with the generation of an initial sound. Sections follow: Voltage and Sound, The Basic Oscillator, and Basic Waveshape and Spectra.
