Eric Daniel Metzgar

Eric Daniel Metzgar owns and operates Merigold Moving Pictures, LLC, a film production company based in Brooklyn, New York. Eric directed, produced, photographed and edited The Chances of the World Changing, his first documentary feature film. Currently, Eric is working on two new documentaries.

He has received fellowships and grants from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, the American Film Institute, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Massachusetts Arts Council. Since 1986 he has taught filmmaking at Harvard University, where he is a professor in the Department of Visual and Environmental Studies.

  • Brian Frye People

    Brian Frye (born 1974, San Francisco) is a filmmaker, curator and freelance journalist who grew up in Santa Rosa. He holds a BA (UC Berkeley) and an MFA (San Francisco Art Institute), moved to New York in 1997 and with Bradley Eros co-founded New York's Robert Beck Memorial Cinema in 1998 after two years at NYU. His films were included in the Whitney Biennial and the New York Film Festival (both 2002); he has published in New Republic, Film Comment, Civilization, University Business and Independent Film and Video Monthly.

    Pierre Desir is a Professor at Emerson University and an award-winning cinematographer and filmmaker; he taught most recently at Ithaca College. His feature film Zona screened at the Athens, Chicago Underground, Pan African and Ohio Independent film festivals. He holds an M.A. in African studies and an M.F.A. in motion picture/television production from the University of California at Los Angeles.

His work has screened at Artists Television Access (San Francisco), Scribe Video Center and DUTV (Philadelphia), and at Burchfield Penny Art Gallery, Hallwalls and Squeaky Wheel in Buffalo; his performance work has been featured at Suburban Samizdat and Kamikaze.
