Eric Ross

Eric Ross (born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania USA) studied with Jean Krantz-Thomas, received his B.A. and M.A. from State University of New York. He premiered his Concerto for Orchestra at Lincoln Center in New York, and released his first solo album, Songs for Synthesized Soprano, on Doria Records. He's written symphonies, chamber pieces and works for solo instruments.

He's performed concerts of his music at the Newport Jazz Festival; Montreux, Switzerland Jazz Festival; Berlin Jazz Festival; Brussels Palais des Beaux Arts, Gilmore International Keyboard Festival among others worldwide. He performs on piano, guitars, synthesizers, and the Theremin. For over twenty years, he's led his own ensemble that's featured jazz giants John Abercrombie, Larry Coryell, Andrew Cyrille, Oliver Lake, Leroy Jenkins and New Music Virtuosos Robert Dick, Lydia Kavina, Youseff Yancy and many others.

He's also performed with Blues Legends Champion Jack Dupree, Lonnie Brooks, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee. With his wife, Mary Ross, he presents multi-media concerts of video, film, computer art, dance and music. He began playing the Theremin in 1975, and has performed on radio, film and TV.

He's written an Overture for 14 Theremins played simultaneously, and gave the World Premiere of Percy Grainger's Free Music No.1 in New York in 1997. He was a personal friend of theremin virtuoso, Clara Rockmore, and met and played for Professor Lev Termin* in 1991.   • Bryan Wolf People

    Bryan Wolf (born Detroit 1960) is a composer, sound projectionist, sound artist and live-electronics specialist who studied organ and composition at Kalamazoo College and continued composition studies at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart in 1987. He has performed across Europe, North America, Asia and South Africa with orchestras including Staatsorchester Stuttgart and the Dutch Radio Symphony Orchestra. He worked with Karlheinz Stockhausen from 1989 and has been Stockhausen's personal sound projection assistant since 1998; he heads the class for sound and spatial design at Pforzheim University.

    Simon Hostettler is a composer and pianist who has worked across different styles and registers for twenty years; as a freelance composer for theatre companies and contemporary music he is known in Switzerland and internationally. He served as guest composer at the Staatstheater in Stuttgart and the Stadttheater in Bern and has written commissioned works for several theatre groups in Switzerland and abroad. His collaborators include theatre directors Enrico Beeler and Antonia Brix, singers Cassis (b-blush) and Henk Hofstede (Nits), conductor Lorenz Hasler (I Salonisti), and multiple other performers and producers.

  • Matt McBane People

    Matt McBane is a multimedia composer and violinist whose work spans projected image and sound, minimalist electronic composition, and amplified/processed string quartet with live video; his pieces have been presented at The Whitney Museum of Art and Carnegie Hall. He composes interdisciplinary works including the half-hour Ghost in the Machine (with Lucy H.G.), leads the New York-based experimental band Build, and directs the Carlsbad Music Festival. He studied composition at USC Thornton with Donald Crockett, was an Associate Artist at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in 2007, appeared at festivals including Bang On A Can and Aspen, and has received grants from organizations including the Arts Ministry of New South Wales, the Norwegian Consulate, ASCAP, Meet the Composer, American Composer's Forum, and NAMM.
