Erica Eaton

Erica Eaton is a video/installation artist working and living in upstate New York. She has shown work in the United States and internationally. Her work is simultaneously experimental and documentary, addressing the subjectivity of human experiences.Ê Through her work, these experiences are represented and given voice.Ê

Much of Erica's work deals with feminist ideas and strives to disempower patriarchy through calling attention to it.Ê Her work is done in the spirit of inclusivity, empowerment and revolution.Ê The work challenges ideas around truth, reality and meaning.

    Anya Liftig, born in Norwalk, CT in 1977, is an artist and writer whose work has been published in outlets including Now and Then, Green Mountain Review, Mix Magazine, The Yale Alumni Magazine, Public Culture and The New York Times Magazine. She has performed and exhibited nationally and internationally at venues such as the University of Wisconsin, Atlanta Contemporary Arts Center, Art Basel Miami, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia and TATE Modern. Her recent work The Anxiety of Influence was a guerrilla intervention into Marina Abramovic's The Artist is Present at MOMA in which she sat across from Abramovic all day dressed like the elder artist; she holds degrees from Yale University and Georgia State University and resides in Brooklyn, New York.

  • Madeleine Gallagher with Adam Savje and Edward Davis People

    Madeleine Gallagher is a video and visual artist whose work investigates physical and visual sensation, endurance, perceptual thresholds and phenomenology; trained in Painting and Sculpture, she began making video through performance art. Her practice involves live video performance collaborations with experimental musicians; she has exhibited and performed at Goliath Visual Space, The Baltimore Contemporary Museum of Art, The Maryland Institute College of Art, Free 103.9 Gallery, Galapagos Art Space, The Brooklyn New Workshop Theater and Rake AV, and teaches video at The Massachusetts College of Art.

  • Christa Erickson People

    Christa Erickson is Assistant Professor of Art at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where she teaches electronic media arts; she is an interdisciplinary artist investigating spaces mediated by electronic technologies and producing installations that combine digital media, sculpture, video, performance, and the internet. Her works have been exhibited in New York City, at InSITE `94, the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and the Banff Center for the Arts; she holds an MFA from the University of California, San Diego and two bachelor's degrees from the University of Texas, Austin.

  • Gretchen Skogerson People

    Gretchen Skogerson is a video and installation artist who studied contemporary art history and cinema studies; she produces The American Disaster Series, a group of experimental videos and sculptures focused on retelling contemporary disasters. Her work has been shown at the Whitney Biennial, the New York Film Festival, the International Film Festival Rotterdam and the Mattress Factory in Pittsburgh, PA; she is an associate professor in the Film/Video Department at Massachusetts College of Art and maintains a website at www.gretchenskogerson.com.
