Born in Whitestone, New York in the 1980's and raised in the Hudson Valley, Evan Meaney has been working with film and video for the better part of a decade. Educated at Binghamton University and Ithaca College, he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Cinema and Photography. As of late, his interests include post-structuralist media theory, break dancing, and the poetry of hexadecimal code. Evan currently enjoys a graduate fellowship at the University of Iowa in the department of Cinema and Comparative Literature where he continues his research and artistic development. He has been awarded the Iowa Arts Council Fellowship for graduate work, the James B. Pendleton Grant for research, and the Ithaca College Presidential Scholarship for academic merit - among others.
