On March 28, 2002, Whitney Museum of American Art director Maxwell L. Anderson announced that Irit Batsry (b. Israel, 1957) will receive the second Bucksbaum Award, a $100,000 prize and artist-in-residency awarded every two years to an artist working in the United States. Batsry's THESE ARE NOT MY IMAGES was produced during a residency at the Academy of Media Arts, Cologne, in association with La Sept/ARTE with support from the Department of Fine Arts (French Ministry of Culture).

Made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, The Experimental TV Center, Central St. Martins College of Arts (London), Grand Canal (Paris), The Lux Center (London). Soundtrack by Stuart Jones.

    Artists in residence 1991–92 included Irit Batsry, Shalom Gorewitz, Pamela Jennings and Ann-Sargent Wooster; works by Irit Batsry, David Blair and Nancy Buchanan were screened at the Museum of Modern Art and exhibited at the Wexner Center and the Brooklyn Museum. The Center placed works on cable and broadcast programs The 90s and Independent Focus; David Blair won Prize for Wax at Montbeliard and the Center began a computerized catalog of equipment, videotapes and prints inspired by Ars Electronica in Linz. NYSCA supported Dan Reeves; Philip Mallory Jones received support.
