Jason Freeman

Composer and media artist, Freeman combines mathematical structures, musical intuition and the excitement of live performance into works that challenge audiences to approach music and sound in new ways, and that often blur the boundaries between art and technology and between composer, performer and listener.

Freeman's interactive works have been featured at the Lincoln Center Festival, Transmediale, and Boston CyberArts, and in the New York Times and Billboard, which called N.A.G. "an example of the Web's mind-expanding possibilities."

His work investigates interactions of simple elements such as sine waves, minimal surfaces and kinetic visual patterns; it has been performed by the Cleveland Chamber Symphony and presented in New York and Europe. He was a 2000 research fellow at Argonne National Laboratory, in 2003 was in residence at STEIM, and his Compound Pilot collaboration won the Classic Web Award at SXSW 2006.

    Jason Bernagozzi is a video and new media artist based in Rochester, NY; he uses video, sound and electronic forms to produce single-channel video and electronic media environments that explore liminal states of language, memory and perceptual experience. He received a Master of Fine Arts in Electronic Integrated Art from Alfred University in 2010. His work was exhibited nationally and internationally at the European Media Arts Festival in Osnabruk, Germany (2009), the LOOP Video Art Festival in Barcelona, Spain (2009, 2010), the Beyond/In Western NY Biennial (2010) and the Yan Gerber International Arts Festival (2nd) in Hebei Province, China (2010).
