Jean-Pierre Boyer, born in 1950, is the cofounder of the Centre de recherche en imagerie populaire, a professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Quebec at Montreal, a photographer, video maker, art historian, and archivist. He worked in the 1970s in the Artist in Residence Program at the Experimental Television Center.
