L. Halsey Brown
L. Halsey Brown is an artist based in NYC working in the digital realm. Her site-responsive and video works have been created for and shown at alternative venues, galleries and museums internationally. One of her on-going projects is Places We Are; a series of site-specific video projects in everyday spaces.
These projects use video to explore the psychological implications of social spaces such as bars and tour buses. She is also a video curator; her most recent project is media(tion); fragmentation and acceleration and will be on view at The Center of Photography at Woodstock in November, 2000. She has taught at Film/Video Arts and received her MFA from California Institute of the Arts.
