Abstract | "Interactive narrative did not begin in cyberspace. It has deep, tangled roots in an array of earlier forms. But the new electronic media provokes us to reconceptualize these two concepts--narrative and interactivity--their distinctive functions and pleasures, and their complex relations with history and subjectivity." With that began the opening remarks given by Marsha Kinder, co-organizer of "Interactive Frictions: At The Pressure Point Between Theory & Practice" and professor of Critical Studies at the University of Southern California (USC) School of Cinema-Television.http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m2479/is_2_27/ai_59586974 |
