Pia Sawhney

Pia Sawhney graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 1999, with an undergraduate degree in sociology and a minor in economics. After college, Pia worked as an Analyst at JP Morgan & Co for two years. She resigned in February 2001 to pursue her interests in writing, and continues to create fresh theatre in addition to her commitment as a filmmaker. In January 2003, she created the idea for "Out of Status" - a documentary film after 9/11 - with colleague Sanjna Singh in January 2003. She and Sanjna founded Chai Break Films to showcase their work. Pia also created the website for the film www.chaibreak.com.
