Rita Myers

Rita Myers has received numerous awards for her work in the video arts including fellowships and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York State Council on the Arts, the Massachusetts Council on the Arts and Humanities, and the Jerome Foundation.

Her work has been exhibited internationally since the early 1970s.

  • Creative Artists Public Projects (CAPS) Chronology

    New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) established the Creative Artists Public Projects (CAPS) fellowship program, administered by the Cultural Foundation; the program provided funds to individual artists and required fellowship recipients to participate in a public service under the direction of Isabelle Fernandez. Other directors included Mary MacArthur; until 1984 CAPS was solely responsible for New York State's individual fellowship program.
