    ZBS Media Farm in Fort Edward, NY, founded by Greg Shifrin and Pat Anderson, operated an artist-in-residence audio program; the 1974 AIR run (Oct 1, 1974–July 1975) invited ten artists (one per month for five days), was funded by the New York State Council on the Arts and provided travel, room and board and audio tape. The 45-acre studio near Saratoga Springs housed a fully equipped 4-track facility with 12-input mixdown, isolation room, extensive sound-effects library, portable field gear and listed tape machines, mixers, processors and synthesizers. A 1984 brochure documents numerous residencies and field and studio projects by video and sound artists including Laurie Anderson, Les Levine, Bill Viola and David Tudor.
