Diane Nerwen

Diane Nerwen is a video artist and media arts educator. She has shown her work internationally, including screenings at the Berlin Film Festival, the New York Video Festival, the Guggenheim Museum, NY and the Tate Modern, London. Her work has been supported by grants from the New York State Council on the Arts, New York Foundation for the Arts and Creative Capital Foundation.

She was awarded a DAAD Artist in Residence Fellowship in Berlin in 2001. Her videos are distributed by Video Data Bank, Chicago and Vtape, Toronto. Nerwen was born in Montreal and lives in Brooklyn, NY.

  • Diane Teramana People

    Diane Teramana is a video artist whose work combines editing, special effects and performance; her video Bare Canvas, Blank Mind was praised by New Art Examiner and ACE Magazine for its poetic, dreamlike imagery. She presented a one-woman show at The Knitting Factory, NYC in 1993 (curator Stephen Vitiello), screened and served as a panelist for Internal Clatter at the Contemporary Arts Center in 1995, and completed six residencies at the Experimental Television Center in Owego, NY. She has received numerous fellowships and grants including a major media fellowship (a ten thousand dollar award for video, 1999) and support from the Ohio Arts Council and Cincinnati Arts Allocation; her works are distributed by Art Metropole and Facets Video.
