To Leave and to Take produced by Irit BATSRY during an artist' residency at the Academy of Media Arts, Cologne. Shown at Oboro, Montreal 1997, at the Veemvloer, Amsterdam as part of the World Wide Video Festival 2000 and at the Museu de Ciencia e Industria, Porto as part of Porto 2001.

    On March 28, 2002, Whitney Museum of American Art director Maxwell L. Anderson announced that Irit Batsry (b. Israel, 1957) will receive the second Bucksbaum Award, a $100,000 prize and artist-in-residency given every two years to an artist working in the United States. Batsry's THESE ARE NOT MY IMAGES was produced during a residency at the Academy of Media Arts, Cologne, in association with La Sept/ARTE and with support from the Department of Fine Arts (French Ministry of Culture).
