Summary

Jaime Davidovich studied at the School of Visual Arts, New York (1963), the University of Uruguay (1959–1961) and the National College, Buenos Aires (1954–1958); his solo exhibitions included Diane Brown Gallery (1987) and Exit Art (1991, Forces), and The Live Show was presented on Manhattan Cable TV (1982) and retrospectively at the American Museum of the moving Image (1989–90), with a group showing at the Whitney Museum of American Art (1976). His awards include NEA Visual Arts Fellowships (1990-84 and 1978), CAPS grants (1982 and 1975) and NYSCA grants (1982 and 1975); his work is held by the Dayton Art Institute, Museum of Modern Art Buenos Aires, the Everson Museum of Art, the H. Abrams Collection and the Akron Art Institute.
