Jane Greenberg

Greenberg received a Masters Degree in Communication from Cornell University, where she produced and directed two award winning films. NED, the story of one woman's struggle with breast cancer, screened at the Sinking Creek Film Festival. Her next film SECOND GENERATION, was awarded first prize at the Carolina Film and Video Festival and Third Prize at the Visions of US contest.

She has been contributing to independent documentaries at Log In Productions since 1996 and served as Associate Producer for SCHOOL PRAYER: A COMMUNITY AT WAR. Ms. Greenberg is currently developing her own work. She also interviews Holocaust survivors for the SHOAH Foundation's videotaped archives. She served as Coordinator for the Central New York Programmers Group, assisting in the development of touring programs of independent media artists to arts and cultural facilities throughout the State. Greenberg was the recipient of a Finishing Funds award from the New York State Council on the Arts.

    Ann Bennett is an award winning filmmaker, journalist, and educator who studied American History and Documentary Production at Harvard College and began her film career at Blackside Productions in Boston; she has worked on historical documentaries for public television, cable networks, museums, and non-profit organizations. Her production credits include WGBH, HBO, WNET, History Channel, National Civil Rights Museum, and the Apollo Theater Foundation; she has received fellowships from CPB/PBS Producers Academy, America Film Institute Digital-Content Lab, Independent Feature Project Documentary Lab, and the Institute for Justice and Journalism at University of Southern California. She recently received a Master of Arts degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and now focuses on the nexus of history, culture, and technology within multi-cultural communities.

    Finishing Funds is a grants program of the Experimental Television Center supported by the New York State Council on the Arts; awards for 1999 were made to multiple artists and collaborative teams for projects in video and film, experimental 16mm narrative works, audio pieces, interactive web projects, and installations. Notable recipients and works listed include Irit Batsry (Neither There Nor Here), Ericka Beckman (Hiatus), Rosateresa Castro-Vargas (An Angel Voice in the Subway), David Crawford (Here and Now), and Michael Smith and Joshua White (Open House); technologies cited include 16mm film, interactive video and sound, and web-based interactivity.
