Kevin Cooley
KEVIN COOLEY is a photography and video-based artist. He received his MFA from the School of Visual Arts and lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. He has exhibited with several galleries in New York City including group shows at Caren Golden Fine Art and Wallspace Gallery as well as two solo shows at the Massimo Audiello Gallery.
Internationally, his work has been exhibited at Site Gallery in Sheffield, U.K. and TH Inside in Milan, Italy. His work has been featured in many international magazines, most recently in the Spectrum supplement of Sunday Times Magazine, German Geo's Fotografie Portfolio, and Harper's Magazine. He often participates in prestigious residency programs including the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Workspace Residency in New York, La Cité des Arts in Paris, and this fall he will travel to the remote Arctic archipelago of Svalbard for the Arctic Circle Residency.
His work is held in several private and public collections including the Swartz Art Collection at Harvard Business School, and Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York. His next solo show will be at The Paul Kopeikin Gallery in Los Angeles in January 2011.
