Madeleine Gallagher's interest in video and visual art has existed as an exploration of physical and visual sensation, endurance, perceptual thresholds and phenomenology. Schooled in Painting and Sculpture, she arrived to making video work through performance art. The current body of work she has been working on involves collaborations between her as a live video performer and experimental musicians. Gallagher has exhibited her video and sculptures /performed at Goliath Visual Space, The Baltimore Contemporary Museum of Art, The Maryland Institute College of Art, Free 103.9 Gallery, Galapagos Art Space, and The Brooklyn New Workshop Theater and at Rake AV. Gallagher teaches video at The Massachusetts College of Art.
