Monica Duncan, an interdisciplinary print, video, performance artist and educator was born and raised in Webster, New York. She received her BFA from Alfred University; she served as assistant to the Director, International Student Residency, a program of Alfred University and the Experimental Television Center. Exhibitions of the work of the "Evolutionary Girls Club" throughout Germany, Sweden and Finland, and at Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Cornell University, Massachusetts College of Art and Rhode Island School of Design. She collaborated with Lara Odell on the "Antibodies," a video/performance project which explores color theory in a social context. Building human affiliations through technology, the two artists simultaneously bond with inanimate objects while addressing issues of intimacy, therapy, and surveillance in the evolution of relationships. Working through narrative and non-narrative structures, her work addresses conditions of naming our world and our own histories.
