Tony Oursler

Oursler is one of the important investigators of narrative video arts. His paintings, sculptures, single-channel video works, performances, and large video installations are used as a means of extending narrative ideas. His installation Spheres of Influence (1985-86) was commissioned by the Pompidou Centre, Paris.

His recent work, Spillchamber 2 (1987-89), was included in the "Video Sculpture, 1963-1989" at the Kolnischer Konstrerein, Koln. He is represented by the Electronic Arts Intermix and Diane Brown Gallery in New York and the Delta Gallery in Dusseldorf.
