    On March 28, 2002, Whitney Museum of American Art director Maxwell L. Anderson announced that Irit Batsry (b. Israel, 1957) will receive the second Bucksbaum Award, a $100,000 prize and artist-in-residency given every two years to an artist working in the United States. Batsry's THESE ARE NOT MY IMAGES was produced during a residency at the Academy of Media Arts, Cologne, in association with La Sept/ARTE and with support from the Department of Fine Arts (French Ministry of Culture). Production was made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, The Experimental TV Center, Central St. Martins College of Arts (London), Grand Canal (Paris), and The Lux Center (London); the soundtrack was by Stuart Jones.
