Adi Shniderman and Merav Ezer

Merav was born and raised in Tel-Aviv, Israel. An accidental course in sculpture during mandatory military service convinced Merav that art would become a main focus of her life. Dividing her time between sculpture and flamenco dancing, Merav enrolled at Beit Berl College in Israel and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art.

After graduation, Merav packed her bags and wandered around the world for two years; her journey ended. She found herself in New York City. Since settling in New York, Merav has exhibited in Israel and the USA. She and Adi Shniderman received a Finishing Funds 2007 award from the Experimental Television Center. Merav currently works, lives, and loves, in Brooklyn, NY.

  • Andreea Costenco People

    Andreea Costenco is a Bucharest-born artist trained in fashion and fine arts who completed a Masters in Scenography at Central St. Martins in London; her work includes installation, performance and the 6-minute experimental video World Story shown at the ICA and CineMAiubit in Bucharest. In 2002 she presented I Love NY at Eforie Gallery and Metamorfosi in Venice; she has exhibited in Berlin, Tel Aviv and Herteliyya and designed set and costumes for a 2002 production of Caragiale's A stormy Night staged at Bulandra Theatrea and at national festival presentations.

  • Mary Magsamen People

    Mary Magsamen received an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art; she has exhibited at Anna Kustera Gallery and White Columns in New York City. Since her exhibition at Momenta she has screened videos and exhibited sculptures at venues including PS122, Art in General and The Knitting Factory in New York City.

  • Nurit Bar-Shai People

    Nurit Bar-Shai is an inter-media artist who composes video and interactive telematic installations and streams locally. Her work has exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum; the OK-Center, Linz; The National Art Center, Tokyo; SESI Gallery, Sao Paulo; Oi Futuro Cultural Center, Rio de Janeiro; and The Center for Digital Art, Israel. She received Prix Ars Electronica 2007 Honorary Mention and 11th Japan Media Arts Festival Jury Award; was commissioned an art grant from Turbulence.org funded by Greenwall Foundation; and has held residencies at Experimental Television Center, Makor Steinhardt Center and Harvestworks, including eMobiLArt.

  • Tarja Nieminen People

    Tarja Nieminen earned an MFA in Visual Communication from The University of Art and Design, Helsinki (1979–87) and studied at FAMU, Prague (1985). She was a Fulbright Scholar at The School of Visual Arts in New York (1991–93, spring 1994) and trained in multimedia production in 1994. Nieminen has worked in media arts, film/video and freelance design since 1982 for cultural institutions including The Hunting Museum of Finland (head exhibition architect and designer); she was Head of Department, Department of Graphic Arts and Design, Lahti Polytechnic/Institute of Design (1995–July 2001).

  • Unn Fahlstrom People

    Unn Fahlstrøm studied at Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Oslo (2000–2004) and earned a Bachelor in Art History at University of Stockholm (1996–2000); she also attended John Cabot University in Rome, University of Oslo and M¯lla Art School, Moss (1994–1996). Solo exhibitions include Aesthetics of separation at Kunstverket Gallery, Oslo (2006); Gallery Brandstrup, Oslo and Hundre runder at HÂ Gamle PrestegÂrd and Circulationscentralen, Malmö (2007); and HKS, Bergen (2008). Group exhibitions include Vestlandsutstillingen (2008), Norske bilder at Oslo City Hall, Royal Caribbean Arts Grant at Kunstnernes hus, Oslo, and KoreaNOW at Huchinsons Gallery, New York.
