Eunjung Hwang

Born in Seoul/South Korea. Lives and works in New York. Eunjung Hwang received her MFA in Computer Arts at the School of Visual Arts, New York. Her animations and new media works have been featured in exhibitions and festivals on an international level.

Selected solo exhibitions: "Eunjung Hwang" LA Center for Digital Arts (2008) and "Creature Feature", Sungkok Art Museum, Seoul (2007).

Selected group exhibitions: "Analog Animation", Drawing Center, New York (2006), Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin (2006) and International Media Award for Science and Art, ZKM, Germany (2005).

In 2006 Eunjung Hwang received the New York State Council on Arts Grant and in 2004 the principal prize of the 50th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen. She was a resident fellow at Akademie Schloss Solitude, Germany (2008-09) and Eyebeam, New York (2003).

    Jung Hee Choi is an artist working in painting, drawing, video, photography, sculpture and multi-media installations with exhibitions in New York City, Germany and Korea; her work investigates perception, being and consciousness and led her to develop television projects. She is founding producer and director of Mantra TV, with programs she produced streamed since September 2001.     Nadia Hironaka holds an MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1999) and a BFA from The University of the Arts (1997); her video and film work has been exhibited and screened at venues and festivals including the 14th Philadelphia Film Festival (April 7–20, 2005), Rencontres internationales Paris/Berlin (2004) and Surface Tension at The Fabric Workshop and Museum (2003). She received awards and support including a 2004 Director's Choice at Black Maria, SOS and Leeway Foundation grants, and was Artist in Residence at FABRICA (2001). She has worked as Video Archivist at The Fabric Workshop and Museum (2000–present), taught video workshops and delivered lectures and juries.

  • Anita Cheng People

    Anita Cheng holds an MFA in Dance from the University of Michigan; her choreography and media work has been presented in theaters, galleries, on DVD and the Internet. She received Experimental Television Center Grants (1998–1999) and Fulbright Grants for choreography to Hong Kong (1991) and to the Federal University of Rio De Janeiro (2007) to teach digital art and performance at the School of Communications (ECO). In collaboration with Ronaldo Kiel she held residencies at Dance Theater Workshop's Media Lab (2004) and the Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center (2005) and produced site-specific installations and commissions including Novel Lift (Brooklyn Public Library, 2005), Journey (Oi Futura, Oct 2007), Relay (Central Library, Feb 2008) and Remembered River (Connecticut College, Feb 2008).

  • Allison Berkoy People

    Allison Berkoy (http://www.berkoy.com) holds an MA in Performance Studies from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and a BS from Northwestern University; her installations and screenings have been shown at Monkey Town, Maiden Brooklyn Gallery, Millennium and the Virginia Film Festival. She has presented live video projection spectacles at Tonic, Abrons Art Center, CMJ Music Festival, Midwest Music Summit, The Knitting Factory and Gallapagos Art Space.

  • Lilah Freeland People

    BA, Bard College; workshops at Film Video Arts. Her installations and performances have been shown at Flame, Zero Space, CBGB Gallery, St. Marks Poetry Project and at Gallapagos, Manhattan Neighborhood Network and the Knitting Factory. She works as assistant with Tony Oursler.

  • Sarawut Chutiwongpeti People

    Sarawut Chutiwongpeti is a Thai visual artist and multimedia designer who completed primary through university studies in Bangkok and received a B.F.A. in Visual Art/Photography from Chulalongkorn University (1992–1996); he undertook additional practice and research at College of Si Phraya Technics, ZKM, the University of Tokyo, Waseda University and Fukuoka Asian Art Museum and participated in a Nagoya workshop in November 2000. He worked as an artist-designer and multimedia artist-designer for private companies and Chulalongkorn University and The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand; his work has been exhibited internationally and has received awards including a prize in Tomorrow Where Shall We Live? (1996) and a Gold Prize at IGDC.
