Felipe Ribeiro

Felipe "f" Ribeiro is a philosopher and multimedia opera composer researching new ways of listening and stochastic resonance cognition through noisy environments. Working with transmediatic poetry in performances, installations, operas and body procedures has been invited to several festivals, presentations and lectures such as in the Havana and Istanbul Biennial, Tesla, Temp, ARCO, MediaLab Prado, Mediawaves Holly Would, Tsonami, FILE, Transmediale among others.

Is a collaborator at the Metarecycling and Submidialogy collectives and festivals. Nowadays is working as sound director for three different dance companies in Sao Paulo and teaches 'Noise and Gambiology' at the Free Academy musical course.

  • Alex Chechile People

    Alex Chechile is a New York based artist and composer who explores sound, physiology, psychoacoustics and cognitive science through analogue modular synthesis and self‑constructed biofeedback systems (brain/nervous system). His work comprises compositions for electronics and acoustic and electro‑acoustic chamber ensembles, Internet2 telepresence performances, installations, videos and interactive stop‑motion animations. He has been supported by the New York State Council on the Arts, Harvestworks and The Experimental Television Center; his work has been presented at SIGGRAPH (San Francisco) and Tbilisi 6 Festival; he is a founding member of Pauline Oliveros' Tintinnabulate ensemble, has collaborated with Mercury Rev and holds an MFA from Rensselaer Polytechnic and a BA from Tufts University.
