Hank Linhart

A video documentarian and local history buff, Hank Linhart is the chair of the Media Arts department at Pratt Institute, a former Brooklyn waterfront activist, and the producer of several short video documentaries and video art pieces.

    Media Buff: Media Art of Buffalo, New York was presented as New York State Artists Series VIII at the Herbert Johnson Museum in Ithaca from September 9 to November 12, 1988; the exhibition focused on media art associated with Buffalo.     Hank Rudolph has been Coordinator of the Experimental Television Center since 1984, providing individualized instruction to artists in residence and technical support; he has served as production assistant to artists including Peter D'Agostino, Taka Iimura, George Stoney and Reynold Weidenaar. Prior to 1984 he worked as a videographer and editor at WBNG-TV (Binghamton's largest commercial station) and for three years as an editor at PBS affiliate WSKG, handling ENG and postproduction for the nightly news and a weekly arts program. He holds a 1979 BA in Cinema Studies from Binghamton University and has taught and served as Technical Specialist in the university's Department of Cinema while also instructing for the New York State Summer Institute for the Arts at Ithaca College.

    Greg Bordowitz is Associate Professor of Film, Video, and New Media at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago; he studied at New York University, the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program (NY), and the School of Visual Arts (NY), and holds a concurrent faculty position at the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program. His exhibitions and screenings include The Gene Siskel Film Center (Chicago), the New York Jewish Film Festival, PBS broadcast, the Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago), the Sundance Film Festival, and the Whitney Biennial (NY); his awards include a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship, Jerome Foundation Grant, Art Matters Grant, New York State Council for the Arts Distribution Grant, Banff Centre for the Arts Residency, and Rockefeller Intercultural Film/Video Arts Fellowship.
