John Phillips is an intermedia artist whose selected performances and installations (1986–2005) include video projections, multimedia and sound/light environments; he frequently collaborated with sculptor Carolyn Healy and held residencies at the Experimental Television Center (Owego, NY) and the Millay Colony (Austerlitz, NY). His film and video work has been exhibited in Spain, Argentina, Chile and Canada and has been recognized by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars, the Ford Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. His videography spans 1983–1996.

    Dan Winckler is a performing artist and teacher of improvisational theater, networked collaboration and new media performance; he is a core member of SHARE, a not-for-profit support organization for audio, visual and new media artists. For five years he worked in improv and sketch comedy, live visual performance, video art, improvisational cinematography, webcasting and web programming; he performed with Gunshow, Neutrino and Improv Everywhere and presented visuals at Ultrahang Fest 2007, Pixelache 2007, Blip Festival 2006, ISEA 2006 and in Second Life. He holds an M.S. in Integrated Digital Media from Polytechnic University, where he initiated the Kids Connect international collaboration with Dutch new media organizations, and a B.A. from The College of William and Mary.

  • Nick Collins People

    Nicolas Collins, composer and performer of electronic music, is Professor of Sound at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and holds a BA (1976) and MA (1979) from Wesleyan University, CT. He has led Hacking workshops worldwide, worked with John Cage, Alvin Lucier and David Tudor, and is Editor-in-Chief of Leonardo Music Journal. Performances and installations include California Institute of the Arts (Valencia), Walker Arts Center and Whitney Museum of American Art; recordings appear on Lovely Music and Nonesuch; awards include DAAD (Berlin) and Thomas Watson Foundation.

  • Phill Niblock People

    Phill Niblock (born Indiana, 1933) is an intermedia artist working in music, film, photography, video and computers. Since the mid-1960s he has presented work at venues including the Museum of Modern Art, The Kitchen and Palais des Beaux Arts and on radio in the U.S. and Europe. He received grants including Guggenheim and NEA support; he has directed the Experimental Intermedia Foundation in New York since 1985 and produced about 800 Music and Intermedia presentations at EIF. He creates installations combining 16mm color film, slides, video and multi-channel tape; his music uses dense tunings and his films document people working in non-urban locations worldwide.

    Will Pappenheimer is an artist living and working in Brooklyn, NY; since 2004 he has been Assistant Professor of Digital Media at Pace University, New York, NY.
