Linda Iannacone

Linda Iannacone is an artist, video producer, activist and educator. She has taught video production, media literacy and visual arts to adults and youth through MNN, Educational Video Center, DCTV, Paper Tiger TV, Henry Street Settlement House and international programs in Vienna as well as with German activists at NGBK. With Paper Tiger TV, she has produced many programs including "Drawing the Line at Pittston" covering an 11 month coal miners strike, "Staking a Claim in Cyberspace" a look at the changing information technologies and access to media, and "Rock Paper, Missiles" a critique of the U.S. role in supporting the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

She has also produced the documentary "AMOK!" about a radical gender bending circus traveling through the communities of New York City. "I believe in holistic activism, that our work is a constant evolution of ourselves and the people and world around us; employing art, music, voice, and action toward a greater understanding, respect and social justice."

    Yvonne Buchanan is a multi-disciplinary artist working in illustration, drawing, video and film; she manipulates video footage to alter the familiar and addresses gender, race and spirituality. Her videos and films have screened nationally at Anthology Film Archives, Slamdance Film Festival, Roxbury Film Festival, the Studio Museum in Harlem and the Everson Museum of Art; her political illustrations have appeared in The New York Times and the Washington Post and her children's book illustrations have been published by Simon and Schuster and Scholastic. She was born in New York City and teaches illustration and narrative drawing at Syracuse University, residing in Syracuse, New York.

    Jody Lafond is a video artist and independent producer whose internationally exhibited experimental videos and activist documentaries have shown at Art in General, the New York Video Festival and the Images Video Festival; she received a NYSCA Media Grant (2001) and NYFA Video Fellowships (1988, 1992). She has produced documentaries and community media since 1989 with groups including 8 mm News Collective and Media Coalition for Reproductive Rights, taught filmmaking at University of Oklahoma (Visiting Assistant Professor, 1987–1988) and University at Buffalo (Teaching Assistant, 1984–1986), and held a Visual Studies Workshop ARE residency (1996) and Experimental Television Center finishing funds (1992, 1995, 1997).
