Lisa DiLillo is an artist based in New York city, who creates video installations, single channel videos and still photographs. Her recent work focuses on the peculiar interactions that take place between our human constructs and other lifeforms. She instigates situations where a variety of insects and birds interact with automatic voice recognitions systems, clocks, diagrams and currency. Lisa DiLillo has been awarded a Jerome Foundation Grant, an Electronic Arts Grant, and several residencies at The Experimental Television Center. From 1996-98 she curated programs for the Knitting Factory Video Lounge. Her videos have been exhibited nationally and internationally in such venues and festivals as the Walker Art Center, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, the Memlingmuseum, the San Francisco Cinematheque at Center for the Arts, the Rotterdam Film Festival, the Moscow International Festival of Contemporary Dance, White Box Gallery, P.S. 122 and Art in General among many others. She has also collaborated with musicians and dancers such as Scanner, David Shea, and Meg Stuart, creating live video-mix performances that have been presented in N.Y. and abroad. www.lisadilillo.com
