Monte McCollum

Monteith McCollum is an independent artist and filmmaker whose films Hybrid and Lawn have won numerous international awards. His films have been screened on the PBS series P.O.V. and on the Arte television network throughout Europe.

He composes and performs film music using saws, violins, and any other objects found around his barn in upstate New York. He composed and performed the original score to Milk in the Land, Ballad of An American Drink. His filmic collaborations with Ariana Gerstein focus on producing works out of the most neglected and mundane subjects and objects.
