Jason Livingston

Jason Livingston is a film and video maker currently based in Brooklyn and Ithaca, NY. While primarily an upstater, Jason has also spent time in Iowa City (which included working with the THAW festival) and Portland, Ore. His work has received awards and been programmed at many festivals and venues, including Rotterdam, NYUFF, PDX, Cinematexas, Media City, Margaret Mead and more.

Under Foot & Overstory, winner of a Jury Prize from the New York Underground Film Festival, can be rented from the Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Centre. Some of his recent video work can be seen as part of ETC: Experimental Television Center 1969-2009, a 5-DVD Anthology distributed by Electronic Arts Intermix. He is also a recipient of a New York State Council of the Arts Individual Artist Grant for his work-in-progress, INTERSTATE.

    Jason Varone, born in Brooklyn in 1976, returned to New York in 1998 to study fine art and completed a Master's degree at New York University in 2003, where he was influenced by Professor Peter Campus; he experiments with painting and video and currently lives and works in Brooklyn. His work has been exhibited at Art in General (New York), The Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art and the Boston Center for the Arts; he received a Finishing Funds 2006 award from the Experimental Television Center and maintains the website www.varonearts.org.

    James N. Kienitz Wilkins (b. 1983) is a film and video maker living in Brooklyn. He is a graduate of the Cooper Union School of Art, located in New York City, and he has screened his short films in various "underground" film festivals.     Leslie Raymond is a video artist based in San Antonio, Texas; her films and videos have screened at international festivals and at Museo de Arte Contemprareano (Argentina), where she won first place in video installation. She performs as vjFutureWorkerGirl and teaches video and digital media at The University of Texas at San Antonio, where she started the New Media Studio Program. Since 1999 she and Jason Jay Stevens have collaborated as Potter-Belmar Labs, producing live cinema, single-channel video and installation; their short Double Thunder won Honorable Mention at the 2009 Fargo Film Festival, and Stevens designs and fabricates museum exhibitions and works as a laptop-based composer.
