  Skip Battaglia is a filmmaker and animator whose films and animations have been honored in Japan, England, Germany, Canada, Netherlands, Portugal, Mexico and at Cannes; he travels internationally as a guest speaker and lecturer. In 1994-95 he received a Fulbright-Hays Teaching and Research Grant to teach film animation design and production at the Universidad de Guadalajara, Mexico; he holds an M.S. in Television-Radio from Syracuse University and a B.A. in English and Philosophy from Boston College, and has taught 16mm film production, animation, scriptwriting and aesthetic courses to undergraduate and graduate students at RIT since 1987.

• Bruce Nauman People

  Bruce Nauman, born 1941 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, was educated at the University of Wisconsin, Madison (BFA, 1964) and the University of California, Davis (MFA, 1966) and has been recognized since the early 1970s as an innovative and provocative American contemporary artist; he finds inspiration in the activities, speech, and materials of everyday life and reconceived studio action itself as art. He works across sculpture, video, film, printmaking, performance, and installation and uses alternately political, prosaic, spiritual, and crass methods to examine life and the arc between life and death. An early neon work contains the text The true artist helps the world by revealing mystic truths; he lives in New Mexico.

• Don Simmons People

  Don Simmons holds an MFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design; he completed a residency at the Banff Center and is on the faculty of the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary. His conceptual artworks take the form of robotics, electronics, audio, installation or performance, and have been shown in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Halifax and St. John's.
