    Jennifer and Kevin McCoy are New York new media artists who use technology to fragment, store, and analyze audio and video; their work includes installations, performances, and net art, and they hold MFA degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. They have exhibited at New York institutions such as P.S.1 and The New Museum and produced commissioned net projects for the Walker Art Center and the Whitney; they have presented internationally including ISEA Manchester. Awards and support include a 2001 Colbert Foundation New Media award, 1999 NYFA grants in computer arts, a Jerome grant, and residencies at Worldviews and Harvestworks; coverage appeared in Spin Magazine, Feed, and The Independent.

  • National Center for Experiments in Television (NCET) Chronology

    KQED-TV's Experimental Television Workshop in San Francisco was renamed the National Center for Experiments in Television (NCET); funding came from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA); Paul Kaufman served as director. NCET published a series of reports with contributions by Stephen Beck, Paul Kaufman, Richard Moore, Brice Howard, Marvin Duckler, Richard Stephens, Don Hallock and Bill Gwin, including titles such as Video Feedback, Direct Video and Talking Faces, Eating Time and Electronic Catharsis.

    National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) establishes the Public Media Program
