Diane Ludin

Diane Ludin is an artist and writer using the internet as a material resource since 1996. She weaves together voices of intimacy, confession and fragmented illusion into montages of contemporary information and communication. Her montages focus on framing the Virtual Body as a body of concepts that draw the core of "embodiment". She has exhibited both her solo and collaborative works in the US and Abroad.

Commissioned works include projects for The Walker Art Center, Franklin Furnace, and Turbulence.org. Collaborative performances and broadcasts with The Electronic Disturbance Theater, FAKESHOP, Las Fantasmas, Prema Murthy, Francesca DiRimini, Ricardo Dominguez, and Agnese Trocchi. She received a Finishing Funds award from the Experimental Television Center in 2003 for id runners.

    Diane Nerwen is a video artist and media arts educator whose works have screened internationally, including the Berlin Film Festival, the New York Video Festival, the Guggenheim Museum, NY and the Tate Modern, London; her videos are distributed by Video Data Bank, Chicago and Vtape, Toronto. Her practice has been supported by grants from the New York State Council on the Arts, New York Foundation for the Arts and Creative Capital Foundation, and she received a DAAD Artist in Residence Fellowship in Berlin in 2001; she was born in Montreal and lives in Brooklyn, NY.

    Heather Raikes is a new media/performance artist who for more than a decade has worked in new media poetics, telematics, contemporary semiotics, dance/technology synthesis and technoetic performance forms; she founded and directed Neopoetics, Harakti Multimedia, Gemini Performance Project and the Temple University New Media Performance Lab. Her work includes new media performances, installations, video, electronic text, visual art and interactive media design and has been exhibited nationally and internationally at venues including HEREArt, Clark Studio Theater at Lincoln Center and the San Diego Museum of Art. She has performed at the American Dance Festival, Jacob's Pillow, The Joyce Theater and the New York Downtown Arts Festival.

  • Diane Bonder People

    Diane Bonder is an experimental filmmaker who has worked for ten years in super-8 and 16mm, using documentary, poetic and semi-narrative forms to address autobiographical themes of identity, sexuality, addiction, memory and loss. Her work has screened internationally, including at The New Museum of Contemporary Art, The Whitney Museum and The Brooklyn Museum of Art; she has received awards including a Lyn Blumenthal Memorial Award and a Mid-Atlantic Media Fellowship. She serves on the screening committee of the New Festival; Berks Filmmakers and Alissa Lebow note her combination of varied moving-image media into a playful experimental esthetic.

  • Abby Luby People

    Abby Luby has created conceptual videos for about 20 years; her work focuses on structure, myth and the power of the image to create or recreate archetypal or mythic symbols and includes original sound scored for specific visuals and original text. A few years ago Luby joined Voices From History, a local media group; they produced a documentary about Paul Robeson in Peekskill: 1949, otherwise known as the Peekskill Riots, and made videos interviewing elders of the area, preserving personal testimonies that will never be in history books.

  • Jody Zellen People

    Jody Zellen, based in Los Angeles, works in photography, installations, net art, public art and artists' books that explore the urban environment; she employs media-generated representations of contemporary and historic cities for aesthetic and social investigations. Solo exhibitions include Paul Kopeikin Gallery (2007), LAXArt (2007), Pace University Digital Gallery (2005) and Laguna Art Museum (2004–05). Her net art has shown worldwide since 1997 at festivals and institutions including File and Whitney Museum Artport (2002); her website Ghost City began in 1997, Crowds and Power was the October 2002 Whitney portal, Disembodied Voices (2004) became a 5 projector interactive installation, and she created five projects for Volkskrant.
