Rachael Perkoff

Rachel Perkoff was born and raised in New Orleans, moved to New York to study theater, and has worked in New York as an actor and director for many years.

She returned to her hometown of New Orleans several years ago to make sense of her sister's death, where she began filming ANOTHER LOST ANGEL. Displaced by Hurricane Katrina, Rachel has woven together her sister's untimely demise with that of the city, honoring a culture, time, and place that are disappearing.

    Joanna Raczynska is a curator, writer and film/video maker who has made short non-fiction films and videos since 1997 and worked in arts administration for over a decade; she earned a Masters degree in Documentary by Practice with merit at the University of London, Royal Holloway College in 2001. She collaborated on projects and exhibitions with composer Will Redman and Termite TV; her work has been screened internationally and in the US, and since September 2002 she has been Media Arts Director at Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center in Buffalo, NY.

  • Lana Caplan People

    Lana Z Caplan is a Boston-based film/videomaker, photographer and installation artist who works with super8, found footage and video; her work explores relationships, mortality and social issues. Recent screenings and exhibitions have taken place in San Francisco, Mexico City, Barcelona, Boston, New York and Storrs, CT. Her grants include the Puffin Foundation, Massachusetts Cultural Council, Vermont Studio Center, Contemporary Artist Center and Polaroid Corporation; she holds a B.A. from Boston University and an M.F.A. from Massachusetts College of Art and teaches at Massachusetts College of Art.

  • Rebekah Rutkoff People

    Rebekah Rutkoff holds a BA from Oberlin College and pursued studies at the New School for Social Research, New York University and the University of Iowa; she co-curated the Brooklyn Pier Show. Her photography and video art have been shown internationally, with exhibitions and screenings at Aurora Picture Show (TX), Anthology Film Archives (NY), Jaraf Video (NY), Smart Gals Productions (CA), Bronx River Art Center (NY), TBA Exhibition Space (IL), and venues in Puerto Rico and Paris. In 2001 she co-founded the Jaraf video art screening series in New York City.

  • Kristine Marx People

    Kristine Marx holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College and an MFA from Hunter College; she has served as lecturer at the Whitney Museum of American Art and at the Hudson River Museum and has curated shows for several galleries in Manhattan. Her work has been exhibited at Plane Space, NY and in group exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles, Canada and Germany. She has received awards from the Bronx Museum of Art, the Arts Project of Japan and Hunter College, including Schloss Plueschow (Germany), AIM at the Bronx Museum (NY) and the William Graf Travel Scholarship (Hunter College); she worked in the Residency Program at the Experimental Television Center and lists www.kristinemarx.net.
