Steve Reinke

Reinke was born in 1963. He received a MFA from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 1993. His work has been screened at the Museum of Modern Art, New York (1996), the Art Gallery of Ontario (1996), and many international venues.

He has curated The George Kuchar Experience, XYZ/Pleasure Dome and co-edited By the Skin of the Tongue: Artist Video Scripts. He has received support from the Canada Council, and the Toronto Arts Council. His work is distributed by V Tape and Videographe.

    Steve Dietz is Director of the ISEA 2006 Symposium and ZeroOne San Jose: A Global Festival of Art on the Edge, taking place in August 2006 in San Jose, California; he is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.     Alex Hahn, born 1954 in Rapperswil, Switzerland, is an artist who has lived in Rome, Berlin, Warsaw and New York; his practice includes video installations, computer animations, videotapes, writings, prints and a chamberdancevideoplay. He studied in the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program (1981–82), was a member of Istituto Svizzero in Roma (1990) and held fellowships in Berlin (1991–94) from Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst and at Art+Com; he lived in Warsaw 1995–96. His work employs electronic and photonic media; solo exhibitions 1993–2002 include Musee Jenisch (Vevey), Kunsthalle Winterthur, Neuer Berliner Kunstverein and the International Center of Photography; a CV is available at the listed URL.

  • Kim Tomczak People

    Kim Tomczak is a multidisciplinary artist known for performance, photography and video; he was born in Victoria, B.C. in 1952 and graduated with honours from the Vancouver School of Art (now the Emily Carr College of Art) in 1975. He is a founding director of V Tape and serves on the boards of the Toronto Arts Council and the Alliance for Canada's Audio-Visual Heritage; since 1983 he has collaborated with Lisa Steele. Their work was the subject of a major survey exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario in 1989-90; they received the Bell Canada Award and a Toronto Arts Award in 1993, and in 1996 their work premiered at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

    Jennifer Schmidt (b. 1975, Bedford, Indiana) is a multi-media artist based in Brooklyn, NY and Boston, MA who works in printed media and graphic design to create sculptural installations, video and screenprinted ephemera. She earned an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1999) and BAs in Studio Art and Art History from the University of Delaware (1997). Her work has screened and been exhibited internationally, including Pulsar (Caracas) and Cinema-Scope (London and Miami); publications include Collezioni:Edge, Eleven Bulls, Big Red and Shiny and Drain Journal.
